Thanks for checking out the Not-Even-Pre-Alpha-Demo for Wrenched: the Last Mechanic (also know as Junkworld).
About this Demo
A few months ago I decided it was time to learn how to code. To do so I started making "Junkworld", a 3d action platformer. Since I started development, Junkworld went through a few major changes and in it's current state, I would describe it as a "3d Bullet Hell Action Platformer".
In a way I am making this game for myself; to learn how to program and make games by myself. But I would be lying if I said I wouldn't want Junkworld to be played, loved and enjoyed by as much players as possible.
That is where this demo comes in. Junkworld, and this demo, in it's current state are far, far, far, far from finished. But this demo should give a pretty good impression of the main game loop.

Wait... is it called Junkworld or Wrenched?
When I started development I named the game Junkworld. This has always been a working title, and it seems a hand full of other games are also named "Junkworld". However I still refer to is as such in my devlogs, for recognition sake. However I have been playing around with some new names, and as this day forward the new working title will be "Wrenched".

Install instructions
To play: download the .zip. Extract it, and run Junkworld.exe.
On Mac: Extract the .zip and launch the game! The app is untested and might not work!

cool game but the movement it kinda hard to control and and jump dont feel so responsive
Very cool game, was fun to play all the way until the end. But I have a few minor issues. It's kinda hard to judge if the bullets are above or in front of you and sometimes it's hard to know your exact location. The easiest way to clear an area is to just cheese the enemies since they don't respawn when you die. But other than that and a few other things, it's really good.

Unfortunately, getting an error when launching in a M1 mac. (I'll try later on pc)
I got a similar error. You may be able to solve it by doing the following: right/two finger click the app, click Show Package Contents, double click the folder Contents and then right/two finger click the folder named MacOS and hover over the bottom option Services. In the Services menu, select New Terminal at Folder. It should open up the terminal app. When there, copy and paste "chmod +x Junkworld" into the terminal and press enter. You should be good to go! I hope this works for you :)
Note it also could be because the app's architecture isn't for M1 macs, and in that case you are sadly out of luck. Afaik there aren't any easy ways to run Intel apps on M1 macs
rosetta 2 is a thing, but i don’t have an apple silicon mac to have actual experience with it
Worked great! I'm on an Apple Silicon mbp and the game runs perfectly after doing the chmod terminal stuff
